Established in 1994 apparently as a leisure activity. The wines are made by Vassilis Papanikolopoulos who trained as a chemical engineer but had a great passion for the vine. Apart from the classic varieties of Lefkada, white Vardea and red Vertzamí, the estate also grows the pink-skinned Mavropátrino and white Chlori. The wines are certified organic.

The wines are getting a growing reputation. The Keropatis Vertzami red gets high ratings on Vivino.
